“To be confident in what you do and stick with the decisions you make.”
Check out the interview with Young Clint exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: Where did this all start? Tell us about your journey in the entertainment business.
Young Clint: It started with me as a kid writing poetry and listening to underground artist’s music at the age of 10.
What would be your biggest piece of advice for the young kids out there trying to do what you do?
To be confident in what you do and stick with the decisions you make.
What are some of the hardest challenges and tasks in your position?
Consistency and managing time can be difficult for me at times.
We all know the entertainment business is very tough, but what do you find is the best way to promote and advertise your music?
Music videos and quality visuals that would make people want to follow up on me or draw curiosity.
Tell us about your city. How are the artists and the fans?
All the artists are one of a kind in my city. They are trendsetters, so they all bring something different to the table. My city still has to find a better way to deal with violence, so we’re a working progress.
Where do you see yourself a year from today?
A candidate for the XXL and in a land of opportunity to show the world who I am and what I have to offer.
Who and what were your biggest inspirations? Who do you look up to in today’s world?
Artists like Jay Z were always my biggest inspiration due to the barriers he’s broken in the music industry. Kevin Hart is a big inspiration as well because of his way of living, his lifestyle, and the way he works as an entertainer.
How do you feel about the music coming out today? Do you like it?
Yes I love it. I have an ear for all types of music. I get the best of both worlds every time I turn on the radio or look on YouTube.
