“The snakes in the industry are harsh and you must avoid them, yet they are chameleon like.”
Check out the interview with Tora Woloshin exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: How were you able to start your journey in the entertainment business? Where did this all start?
Tora: I started dance classes at 4 years old; shortly after I started singing and eventually progressed into theatre, acting, and modeling by the time I was 6.
What are some of the creative ways you use to promote your music?
Social media and consistent updates.
What is the greatest challenge you face in today’s entertainment business? How do you overcome them?
The snakes in the industry are harsh and you must avoid them, yet they are chameleon like.
How is the music scene like in your hometown? What do you like about it and what don’t you like?
It is dead (lol). Tucson doesn’t have a strong music scene.
Where do you think the future of music is going to be? How do you feel artists can be more a part of it?
I think us as artists need to work more as a collective and just be able to collaborate freely.
What advice can you give to other upcoming artists and musicians trying to achieve success?
Beware of snakes. And know exactly what you’re signing.
What inspires you to write your next song?
Events that consistently keep happening in my life.
What are the steps you take to make a song?
It all depends. Sometimes I receive a beat/instrumental and I write to it or I send off acapellas I have.
What do you think makes a great song?
It’s content. Everything about a song makes it great. Something that gives you goose bumps or that you keep singing all day.
Where can we connect with you? Can you give us your social media links and where we can contact you?
