“A year from today I’m planning on making some major noise and having songs with well-known artists on the come up just like me.”
Check out the interview with Studdaz Spazz exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: Where did this all start? Tell us about your journey in the entertainment business.
Studdaz Spazz: I used to write poetry when I was younger and picked it back up a little bit in high school. I used to write verses in high school, nothing too serious just because I could do it and I was good with words. Summer of 2015 I went through some stuff and I started my crew called GVO for GoodVibesONLY.
What would be your biggest piece of advice for the young kids out there trying to do what you do?
I’d say that if it makes you happy then do whatever makes you happy. People will doubt you, but you know what you’re capable of. Keep pushing toward your goals.
What are some of the hardest challenges and tasks in your position?
Right now it’s just building my fan base, promoting, and getting my music heard.
We all know the entertainment business is very tough, but what do you find is the best way to promote and advertise your music?
I’ve been trying to get my music on blogs and getting pages with a lot of followers to repost my songs on Soundcloud.
Tell us about your city. How are the artists and the fans?
I’m from southeast DC where it gets real grimey, but at the same time it’s where I grew up. It’s always all love when I come around. I don’t really have a solid following in my city yet, it’s mostly in different cities in the U.S. right now.
Where do you see yourself a year from today?
A year from today I’m planning on making some major noise and having songs with well-known artists on the come up just like me.
Who and what were your biggest inspirations? Who do you look up to in today’s world?
To be honest, my biggest inspirations are anyone who has been through hell and back and has overcome any kind of adversity to get to where they want to be. I look up to the go getters and the winners in this life.
How do you feel about the music coming out today? Do you like it?
Some of it’s garbage, but even the garbage sounds good and catchy and some of it’s actually good. There’s half and half out there.
