“Make sure you work with the right people, and not fake people that act like they know what they’re doing. People out here are too fake with there business. It can brake an upcoming artist’s dreams if they are not strong…”
Check out the interview with MrCrazyD45 exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: How were you able to start your journey in the entertainment business? Where did this all start?
MrCrazyD45: This all happened with my friend who was a DJ. iI never forgot that he had a beat, and the way he was playing the music at the time. It sounded like something special. He told me to rap on the beat and ever since then it was just love for the music. There was no turning back!
What are some of the creative ways you use to promote your music?
The beat way I promote my music is to make my self a market for my own before I go to anyone else. Besides myself, I use social network get the most traffic I can.
What is the greatest challenge you face in today’s entertainment business? How do you overcome them?
I guess people sharing my music and loving it more; besides just liking it, I just want my fans to go crazy and show them the new movement of hip hop I have going on. But, I guess I’ve got to work hard to prove my point to the world.
How is the music scene like in your hometown? What do you like about it and what don’t you like?
The music scene is great in my hometown. There is a lot motivation because everyone is so hungry to be what they want to be. The bad part is that there can be a lot jealously.
What advice can you give to other upcoming artists and musicians trying to achieve success?
Make sure you work with the right people, and not fake people that act like they know what they’re doing. People out here are too fake with there business. It can brake an upcoming artist’s dreams if they are not strong.
What inspires you to write your next song?
I guess the thought process of coming with new ways to say your line, and how you say your words with the next song. It just inspires me!
What do you think makes a great song?
I think when you are having fun in the studio and your mind is not so much on trying make songs better then the other person, you tend to make a great song. I think you would come up with a lot greater music from being yourself for the most part.
