Skilly: Tell us where this all began. What is your history in the music scene?
Lil Lobo:
I have been writing music since I was 12 years old and rapping, now I’m 20 years old still doing it.

What are the best ways to promote yourself as an artist? Any tips you can give us?
I promote my music by putting it all the social media sites I can like Facebook, Soundcloud, and Twitter. That’s a tip I can give, put your music out there so people can hear you.

What do you ultimately want to become in your career?
I wanted to start recording my music and putting my music on the radio.

What is the hardest thing about being in the music business?
The hardest thing is having some people say music is bad and a lot of say they like my music. A lot of people going to hate, but I don’t listen to them. I do what I like to do.

What is it like in your city? What is the music scene like, and how is it like living there overall?
I’m from Chicago and then I moved to the country. A lot of people write music and rap too. Sometimes I rap with my friends for fun.

What are some of advice you can give and share to other artists who are still trying to come up?
Follow your heart and your dreams, don’t let nobody turn you down. I have had a lot of people turn me down, but I never listen to them because I love music. It take’s time to become a big artist, but it’s worth it.

What is the best thing that’s ever happened in your career?
The best thing was meeting new rappers in my city or other cities. We sometimes get to together and rap. I meet new friends and having fun is what I love to do.

What is your inspiration?
My friends help me a lot with my music career. Lots of practice too, I have been getting better every day.

Do you feel anyone can be successful now in today’s world of music?
Yes I do, they just need to believe on themselves and don’t let nobody crush your dreams.

Where can we find you on social media?
Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Soundcloud, and Audiomack under Lil Lobo.
