“The best way to promote is social media; share, tag, repost, and like every day.”
Check out the interview with Briggs exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Where did this all start? Tell us about your journey in the entertainment business.
Briggs: It all started in 2014 when my homeboy traded a brand new tablet for a used laptop just for me to record music.
What would be your biggest piece of advice for the young kids out there trying to do what you do?
Preach what you live and never give up on your dream.
What are some of the hardest challenges and tasks in your position?
Making music that everybody will like.
We all know the entertainment business is very tough, but what do you find is the best way to promote and advertise your music?
The best way to promote is social media; share, tag, repost, and like every day.
Tell us about your city. How are the artists and the fans?
I am from Laurens, SC. We have a lot of talent here, but it’s a small town. Most artists here aren’t really known outside the county because they don’t travel.
Where do you see yourself a year from today?
In a year from now I see myself getting money for my shows and performing on bigger shows.
Who and what were your biggest inspirations? Who do you look up to in today’s world?
I look up to my father. He has been through it all so he knows what’s going to happen before it happens.
How do you feel about the music coming out today? Do you like it?
Not really a fan of the music today. Most of it’s about drugs; that’s not a good sign to the youth. Other music is just a person on a good beat. Rappers now don’t have no bars with meaning.
