“I believe that the future of music will be diverse and that artists should continue creating innovative music and try to push the boundaries. Artists should put forward a greater effort.”
Check out the interview with Royal Inheritance exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: How were you able to start your journey in the entertainment business? Where did this all start?
Royal Inheritance: I was able to start my music career through social media growing up on the streets of Birmingham.
What are some of the creative ways you use to promote your music?
I promote my music through social media and through word of mouth.
What is the greatest challenge you face in today’s entertainment business? How do you overcome them?
The greatest challenge I face is how do we go further to get famous and gain more success. We try to overcome each obstacle by pushing forward.
How is the music scene like in your hometown? What do you like about it and what don’t you like?
The music scene in my home town is very weak, there aren’t many good artists in my home town. We try our best to be the best. What we enjoy about our hometown is that because of the challenges we face daily there’s always something new to talk about. What we don’t like is that our hometown isn’t well known in the music scene as Atlanta is.
Where do you think the future of music is going to be? How do you feel artists can be more a part of it?
I believe that the future of music will be diverse and that artists should continue creating innovative music and try to push the boundaries. Artists should put forward a greater effort.
What advice can you give to other upcoming artists and musicians trying to achieve success?
Keep working on everything you like to hear about. Keep making new music and new moves. Keep going. Never give up. Even accept all types of criticism.
What inspires you to write your next song?
Struggle inspires me to write. I always try to write something off of what I go through on a daily basis. I continue to write my music in order to get out of the struggle. I have high goals and ambitions to make it and to be other than a regular person.
What are the steps you take to make a song?
The steps I take to make a great song is patience. I also have to be one with myself and think about my next word and how they run off each other. I like to write. I am no freestyling type of rapper, but I can write a good song. I also have to go to my thinking zone in order to write a good hit song.
What do you think makes a great song?
Anything that connects with the people. Anything that can make them move or vibe. Anything that a person goes through on a daily basis.
Where can we connect with you? Can you give us your social media links and where we can contact you?
