Nominees for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced, and leading the way is N.W.A.

The gangster rap pioneers were nominated in 2013 and 2015, but were not inducted. But, they’ve returned, and given the massive year N.W.A. has had, they’re likely to be inducted.

N.W.A. is nominated along 15 other acts, including Janet Jackson, Nine Inch Nails, the Smiths, Deep Purple, Chic, Steve Miller, Chicago, Chaka Khan, the Spinners, Cheap Trick, the Cars, the J.B.’s, Los Lobos and Yes.

The artists selected had to have released their first single or album in 1990 or earlier.

The Class of 2016 will be announced in December.

Fans can vote for their favorite artists to be selected at The top five artists in the poll will comprise one ballot that will be tallied alongside the other voting members.
