“My city is a crab barrel. Everyone bring others down to get to the top, yet everyone is after the same thing. It is tough living in my city. There’s no unity, support, and no connections to the right people from the industry. Other than that, the music scene is dope.”

Check out the interview with Karma Sutra exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.

What are the best ways to promote yourself as an artist? Any tips you can give us?
Billboards if possible, social media, posters, and an artist website along with business cards.

To become the best wordsmith female ever born.

What is the hardest thing about being in the music business?
The hardest thing is not having management and doing everything as a one woman show and building a reasonable fan base.

What is it like in your city? What is the music scene like, and how is it like living there overall?
My city is a crab barrel. Everyone bring others down to get to the top, yet everyone is after the same thing. It is tough living in my city. There’s no unity, support, and no connections to the right people from the industry. Other than that, the music scene is dope.

Trust no one and rely on yourself to get the job done if you don’t have management.

What is the best thing that’s ever happened in your career?
Going on tour with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony back in 2011.

What is your inspiration?
The struggle and the many hats I wear as an individual.
