“Go hard and never give up on your dreams. You need to make sacrifices in order to make things happen with your career!”

Check out the interview with Yung Double exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.

SKILLY: How were you able to start your journey in the entertainment business? Where did this all start?
Yung Double: I actually started my own music and record label in 2009 called Heavy Wrist Entertainment in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since then it’s been history. I’ve been on it every since haha!

What are some of the creative ways you use to promote your music?
I highly prefer to hire a marketing company to promote my music. It makes things a lot easier for me in my opinion.

What is the greatest challenge you face in today’s entertainment business? How do you overcome them?
I think not enough money to promote my music is the biggest challenge I face, it’s always about funding and more funding. I am hoping to get signed to a major label in the near future so that can support my career when the time comes.

How is the music scene like in your hometown? What do you like about it and what don’t you like?
In my hometown, we don’t have any major artists. Everybody is grinding trying to get on. That’s what I don’t like, is these younger guys that wan’t to sound like every other major artist haha!

Where do you think the future of music is going to be? How do you feel artists can be more a part of it?
The future of music is going to be in a great place. I think the artists do quite enough!

What advice can you give to other upcoming artists and musicians trying to achieve success?
Go hard and never give up on your dreams. You need to make sacrifices in order to make things happen with your career!

What inspires you to write your next song?
My inspiration comes from my family and my kids. They give me the power to keep doing what I do.
