“The fans we have here are one of a kind, they support everything we do and the other artists here are good. They’re sleeping on 479.”

Check out the interview with G.Ghost exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.

Skilly: Where did this all start? Tell us about your journey in the entertainment business.
G.Ghost:
It all started when I was 13. I wasn’t serious at the time, but I loved to go in the booth and drop some hot fire. When I hooked up with my brothers and cousins that’s when everything became serious to me because everybody wanted me to teach them how to rap. We were doing shows at that time. I was 16teen and traveling from state to state. We drop a self-entitled album call D.V.F and I never looked back from there.

What would be your biggest piece of advice for the young kids out there trying to do what you do?
Follow your dream and don’t pretend to be somebody you are not.

What are some of the hardest challenges and tasks in your position?
Being the CEO of a label and being the artist. I have to book shows, make sure everything is Gucci for me and my artists on Global Entertainment, LLC.

We all know the entertainment business is very tough, but what do you find is the best way to promote and advertise your music?
The internet. Everybody is online daily.

Tell us about your city. How are the artists and the fans?
I’m from south Memphis. Now I live in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The fans we have here are one of a kind, they support everything we do and the other artists here are good. They’re sleeping on 479.

Where do you see yourself a year from today?
Doing me, always on stage turning up.

Who and what were your biggest inspirations? Who do you look up to in today’s world?
I don’t look up to nobody. I used to look up to my cousin Kevin J. Wolfe Sr. Free Raz Kebo, he’s doing life without now. I do vibe with all the artists out here.

How do you feel about the music coming out today? Do you like it?
Yeah and no, some artists are killing the rap scene and some artists need to get back in the lab. Real spit.
