“It is mostly through them that I find my greatest supporters, but they can also be real and give me constructive criticism when I need it.”
Check out the interview with Frostbite exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: Where did this all start? Tell us about your journey in the entertainment business.
Frostbite: I have always loved music, and since a very young age I have been writing and listening to it avidly. It was not until recently that I became involved in the electronic production of music and subsequently began rapping and singing to go along with it.
What would be your biggest piece of advice for the young kids out there trying to do what you do?
For anyone trying to get into music, I would say just do what you love and love what you. After that, the rest will just come naturally.
What are some of the hardest challenges and tasks in your position?
When it comes to my music, there is really nothing I find challenging. There might be things outside of music and we all have our problems, but for me the music gives me a place where I can just let myself be as I am.
We all know the entertainment business is very tough, but what do you find is the best way to promote and advertise your music?
For me, my friends and family have been huge supporters of my music. It is mostly through them that I find my greatest supporters, but they can also be real and give me constructive criticism when I need it.
Tell us about your city. How are the artists and the fans?
I’m from New York, so naturally everyone is pretty great over here. Born and raised.
Where do you see yourself a year from today?
In a year I see myself still writing music for my listeners and hopefully performing it as well.
Who and what were your biggest inspirations? Who do you look up to in today’s world?
Some of my biggest inspirations are Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. I admire the way they conduct themselves and portray themselves through their music.
How do you feel about the music coming out today? Do you like it?
I am a massive fan of music and love all different types and genres including the stuff that’s still coming out today. In other words, I love it.
