Skilly: Tell us where this all began. What is your history in the music scene?
CAM24/7: It started at the age of 12 middle school performing on stage singing and dancing. As time went on I joined a funk band singing lead background. I departed and started collaborations with artists locally and doing my own thing writing and co-producing my projects. Now I’m soloing and have music online so people can listen to the different type of r&b music I’m offering.
What are the best ways to promote yourself as an artist? Any tips you can give us?
Keep on advertising your music on internet radio, contact music program directors. Try to get gigs in night clubs or festivals. Open for major recording artists.
What do you ultimately want to become in your career?
Famous recording artist and best hit songwriter in the world.
What is the hardest thing about being in the music business?
Trying to get a major recording label give you a test drive to see what you got and what you’re working with.
What is it like in your city? What is the music scene like, and how is it like living there overall?
