“The hardest challenge in my position is keeping faith in this music dream. I’m the only one who can make it happen.”
Check out the interview with C.Quick exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: Where did this all start? Tell us about your journey in the entertainment business.
C.Quick: I just want to prove to the world I am up there with the most talented artists in the industry. I’m still trying to make a name for myself in the entertainment business.
What would be your biggest piece of advice for the young kids out there trying to do what you do?
To all the young kids out there just be yourself, work hard, stay focused, appreciate life, and treat those around you who love you good. Work harder than the next person.
What are some of the hardest challenges and tasks in your position?
The hardest challenge in my position is keeping faith in this music dream. I’m the only one who can make it happen.
We all know the entertainment business is very tough, but what do you find is the best way to promote and advertise your music?
I’m not an expert yet in knowing how to advertise my music, but my opinion would be just be original and have good music. If my music is good then someone will hear it.
Tell us about your city. How are the artists and the fans?
I was raised in Gardena, CA on the west coast. I currently don’t have a lot of fans from my area. The artists around here I haven’t really heard of much. I’ve been focusing on me.
Where do you see yourself a year from today?
A year from today I see myself collaborating with established artists and hopefully having my name get more respect.
Who and what were your biggest inspirations? Who do you look up to in today’s world?
My biggest inspiration is showing the world my talent and the creativity I manifest in my music. Also to take care of my family and future. In today’s world I look up to Kobe. He’s a hard worker, gets what he desires, and receives respect for it.
How do you feel about the music coming out today? Do you like it?
There’s all kinds of different music that’s coming out today. The music is pretty dope. I like to learn and listen to different melodies, sounds, and rhythms so I can apply it to my own music in different creative ways.
