“My greatest challenge is making the most money as possible off my music. I try to build a fan base and people with money.”
Check out the interview with BrandNewon exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: How were you able to start your journey in the entertainment business? Where did this all start?
BrandNewon: While having free time experimenting. This started back in the day when I was young.
What are some of the creative ways you use to promote your music?
I promote my music by taking CDs to clubs, gas stations, barber shops, and car washes. Also, I share links of my songs on Facebook and Twitter.
What is the greatest challenge you face in today’s entertainment business? How do you overcome them?
My greatest challenge is making the most money as possible off my music. I try to build a fan base and people with money.
How is the music scene like in your hometown? What do you like about it and what don’t you like?
The music scene in my hometown is ok, but I try to move my music to other city and states. A lot of people know I deal with music in my hometown. Most people don’t want to support other’s dreams.
Where do you think the future of music is going to be? How do you feel artists can be more a part of it?
Music is going to be wherever the money is at. An artist should stay focused and be about that money.
What advice can you give to other upcoming artists and musicians trying to achieve success?
Work hard, stay focused, and try your best to reach your goals.
What inspires you to write your next song?
The beat inspires me to write my next song and the way I’m feeling at the moment.
What are the steps you take to make a song?
I usually jot down lyrics on my phone, find my next beat, and start writing a song.
What do you think makes a great song?
A talented person, the beat, and great lyrics make a great song.
