“My city is overlooked when it comes to the music scene. The fans are awesome, it’s what makes us grow stronger each day. We have the most talented artists, if given a chance they’d make history. A fairy tale come alive.”

Skilly: Where did this all start? Tell us about your journey in the entertainment business.
AROD
: Since I was a baby I loved music and became serious around my freshman year in high school; a little too serious that I didn’t graduate. Ever since it’s been the grind of my life to achieve the impossible. I’m on a mission to have what I want and that’s my music spreading around the world.

What would be your biggest piece of advice for the young kids out there trying to do what you do?
Always believe in yourself and do you. You’re the author to your story so forever write it. Keep riding and vibe in your zone.

What are some of the hardest challenges and tasks in your position?
The hardest thing is never to lose yourself, stay humble, and have patience finding the right people to network with.

We all know the entertainment business is very tough, but what do you find is the best way to promote and advertise your music?
It is indeed difficult. My best tool is Facebook, Reverbnation, Twitter, and YouTube.

Tell us about your city. How are the artists and the fans?
My city is overlooked when it comes to the music scene. The fans are awesome, it’s what makes us grow stronger each day. We have the most talented artists, if given a chance they’d make history. A fairy tale come alive.

Where do you see yourself a year from today?
Doing big and great things, not only for me and my family, but for the world to see.

Who and what were your biggest inspirations? Who do you look up to in today’s world?
Since I was child I looked up to Selena Quintanilla, The Backstreet Boys, and Eminem.

How do you feel about the music coming out today? Do you like it?
I feel there’s hope in today’s music. It got dry for a time and now it’s coming back to its true meaning.
