Nearly two years after its initial launch, Apple is shutting down the Beats Music app.
The move comes less than six months after the premiere of Apple Music.
According to Fortune, all Beats Music subscriptions will be canceled on Nov. 30.
Apple acquired Beats Electronics last year for $3 billion, “in large part for the technology behind its streaming-music service,” writes Fortune. However, unlike other acquisitions, Apple let Beats Music continue on, instead of shutting it down and incorporating their technology into its own products.
