“Making music for me is all about good times and having fun. When it comes to producing music if I can become successful and make a good income from it well by all means that would be amazing.”
Check out the interview with Antone exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.
Skilly: Tell us where this all began. What is your history in the music scene?
Antone: It all started in this hipster neighborhood in my town of EP called Sunset Heights. I grew up in Mission Hills on the west side but the music scene was happening in Sunset Heights. My friends would all get together on a Friday and party the weekend away. The area has awesome block parties and cool art, which reminds me to thank Jacques Dalbin for the my Album art on V2.5 it really is amazing!
What are the best ways to promote yourself as an artist? Any tips you can give us?
I really think social media has been a great way to get noticed and an ideal way to get my music heard. It is convenient and easy to access all types of info and cool stuff. But if it weren’t for cool outlets and magazines like Skilly I’m not sure how I’d get the word out.
What do you ultimately want to become in your career?
Making music for me is all about good times and having fun. When it comes to producing music if I can become successful and make a good income from it well by all means that would be amazing. I’d love to tour one day and open up for an amazing artist!
What is the hardest thing about being in the music business?
I would have to say the hardest thing that I have encountered while in the music business is learning all of the amazing programs to produce music with. Logic pro wasn’t easy but well worth learning and mastering.
What is it like in your city? What is the music scene like, and how is it like living there overall?
The music scene in El Paso is amazing we have awesome music festivals that I hope one day to be a part of like Sun City Music and Neon Desert.
What is some advice you can give and share with other artists who are still trying to come up?
Don’t stick to one program after you think you have mastered it. Take a look at all the other ones that are available as well.
What is the best thing that’s ever happened in your career?
Completing my album v2.5 and being able to sit back and listen to it in its entirety and reflecting upon it. Meeting new people who are just as into music as I am.
What is your inspiration?
My life, friends, and relationships have all inspired me deeply. But mostly Sarah Michelle Gellar. LOL
Do you feel anyone can be successful now in today’s world of music?
I think anybody can be successful at anything if they give it their all.
Where can we find you on social media?
