#4. Spend money on social media ads
In my hometown, I still see a lot of indie flyers and posters being distributed. While that is great for printing companies and the press industry, it is toxic for the independent artist. While having a street presence is great, it is also very costly to print. The reach of print advertising such as flyers is nowhere near as powerful as an online reach. The other downside is that print ads cannot be tracked. How do you know who has seen your flyer? If they do decide to visit your website or music, how will you know that the ad worked? The answer is you can’t!
