Let’s face it, there are a lot more things you can do as an artist to get to where you need to be. Skilly Magazine explores some of the vital things that most musicians forget to do that not only pushes their careers back, but jeopardizes their entire brand. From social media mistakes to personal errors, lets go down our list of the top six things most artists do not do, that they should be doing.

#1. Reserve their @ name on social media

When you came up with your stage name, the first thing you should’ve done was reserve all your @XXXXX names and URL’s on every single social network. That is practically your identification in today’s music market. The earlier you reserve it, the less chances of someone else taking your URL or @ name. Even if your name is awkward, don’t think there is no one else out there that is thinking the same thing, except if they actually reserve it before you! Don’t lose out. If you haven’t reserved your name yet, do it immediately on all social media networks!
